How do I receive the pictures
There are many ways that your pictures may be delivered. This sometimes depend on the package or service you selected. 1. Digital files via online ablum 2. Email with image attachments 3. DVD/CD or USB drive with high quality image files 4. Prints mailed to your address
Are down payments required?
Down payments are required for every photo shoot, wedding or event. You request is NOT confirmed unless you have confirmed the available time and submitted the appropriate down payment. Down payments are non-refundable! This means that it will not be returned if you cancel your photo shoot, event, wedding or fail to show at the scheduled time. If the photographer fails to show or cancel for any reason, you will receive a full refund.—Wedding Down Payment: $200 —Events & Photo Shoots: (Price of the first hour)
On a timed shoot or event, when does the clock actually start.
The clock starts when you say we should start, scheduled before the day of the shoot / event. We will be ready to shoot on the time scheduled, so make sure to be on time and be prepared to start taking photos. We recommend that you arrive early and factor the time needed to prepare before the actual start time of the shoot.
What are some great locations for photos?
The location choice is your decision. You should first think of scenes that you may want to include in your photos. I’ve included a few popular Savannah locations below:
- Forsyth Park and nearby areas – Romantic location with the iconic fountain and tree-lined path. Elegant historic buildings surround the park.
- River Street & Factor’s Walk – The river, stone walkways, bridges, stairs, and stores provides many scenes for great photos.
- Tybee Island Beach – If you need a beach themed shoot, this is a great option.
- Wormsloe Historic Site – Popular for it’s famous tree-lines driveway. Note: There is an entry fee.
- Savannah Squares – 22 Public Squares provide multiple scenes and monuments. Pick one and take short walks near other great attractions.
How long do I have to wait to receive them?
This very much depends on the location or deliver method involved. We try to combine our location shoots to minimize the travel costs involved which means we can provide you with a more economical service, but we try to supply your photographs to you within 1 week of your order confirmation. 1-Hour photo shoots are usually ready by the next day.
How are the photos edited?
There may be some editing done to photos to achieve desired results. Special edits include:
- Skin smoothing and blemish removal
- Body sculpting
- Color modification
- HDR (High Dynamic Range)
What if I don’t know what is available to photograph at a particular location.
We would normally expect you to have a good idea of the photography you require, but if in fact you’re not sure of what we will find, we can conduct some research of the area before arriving to the location.
How big an enlargement can I make from your photographic file?
We shoot images of 24Mb which is sufficient to enlarge a photo to 20″ x 16″ prints. You can actually print much larger, but this is true photo quality size.
Do you have any props?
Any props needed for your shoot will have to be provided by you. We do not stock props.
Will you fix my makeup or wardrobe?
No, we do not have makeup and wardrobe staff within our price packages. You would have to make your own arrangements to make sure your makeup and wardrobe meet your requirements. We will capture the best photos after you’ve verified these elements.
Do I own the photos?
Absolutely. You paid for them. Many photographers won’t release hi resolution photos from your session without additional payment. They say it’s for “quality control,” but really they just want to make backend money by charging you extra fees. It’s like double dipping, and you should be very wary of anyone who won’t give you the photos you’ve hired them to take. SAV photography gives you full rights (you do whatever you like with them) to all photos taken during your shoot.
Do we shoot indoors or outdoors?
Both! We do not rent/own a full time studio, so we are able to keep our prices low. We are able to setup mini-studios at a location of your choice with backdrops, lighting and printing services. We have generic backdrops (black or white). Custom backdrops to meet the theme of your event or shoot will be your responsibility.
Are there any hidden fees?
There are no hidden fees. The quote you receive is exactly what you pay for the services we discuss (assuming that the shoot lasts for the time agreed).
